The Quran gives Idris just two mentions, and both are pure praise: “a man of truth and a prophet,” whom Allah “raised to a high station” (Quran 19:56-57), and one of “the patient” admitted into Allah's mercy (21:85-86).
Early scholars describe him as one of the first people to write with a pen, a man of knowledge who lived between Adam and Nuh. Beyond that, the sources go quiet, and we respect that silence. His short story teaches by its shortness: heaven's rankings run on truthfulness and patience, not on fame.
